How We Work

We are inspired by curiosity and draw from many sources. Our solutions are tailored to the people involved and their needs. In doing so, we act responsibly towards people, nature, and society: We think in cycles, conserve resources, and encourage the reuse of materials. We communicate respectfully and sensitively, transparently, and results-oriented, celebrating discourse and diversity. Our shared goal is to inspire and promote a change in mindset, new behaviors, and social transformation for people and their environment.

Our Journey

With great art, we begin: The brand design for the 2003 Biennale is our first major project. The following year, we win the pitch for the new visual identity of the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna – and are able to directly implement our ideas for the renowned art school.

Our Journey

Strategy and design are inseparable for us – we focus not only on aesthetics but always on the bigger picture. As a result, brand strategy has increasingly come into our focus. In 2009, we implemented our first major holistic brand development for BTU Cottbus.

Our Journey

In the seventh year of Novamondo, our design is traveling across Germany: The sound train Klang-Zug by sounding D stops at various locations with new music. In addition to the design, we are also responsible for marketing and communication in collaboration with the agency marquer.

Our Journey

From corporate design to campaigns – we take a holistic approach with the Über Lebenskunst initiative for culture and sustainability, a project of the Cultural Foundation of the Federal Government in cooperation with the House of World Cultures. A project that changed us: Sustainability has since become an important topic at Novamondo.

Our Journey

Sometimes our work takes us to legendary places and schools: In 2010, we flew to Boston and MIT to celebrate the launch of the study program “act – art, culture, and technology”, for which we designed the corporate identity and website. In 2011, Novamondo was tasked with designing the famous Bauhaus magazine: It was the first issue after 80 years.

Our Journey

The commission for the visual identity of the exceptional Lindenberg Hotel in Frankfurt brings us back to our roots in 2012 (as we originally started in the Rhine-Main area), but most importantly, it reconnects us with the themes of “city and neighborhood development”, which we have since explored in many exciting projects.

Our Journey

How can we make complex research easy to understand? How is knowledge best conveyed? And what should an infographic look like to ensure it’s instantly understood? Science communication has always fascinated us. That’s why we were very excited in 2016 when we had the opportunity to design the holistic brand identity for the Leibniz Association.

Our Journey

Since our beginnings, we have been developing our own digital products – such as our Bee App (based on our book “The ABCs of the Honeybee”) and the Letan App (which helps children learn to read). We also support large digital projects: For years, we have been advising Deutsche Bahn on their digital networking platform, DB Verbund.

Our Journey

We have a special relationship with HWR Berlin. In 2017, we implemented an extensive UX and UI process for the University of Applied Sciences for Business and Law, including frontend development and service design for their new website. Since 2022, we have been co-hosting a seminar on ecological transformation at HWR, alongside Luzius Rüedi.

Our Journey

In November 2017, we moved into our new, light-filled spaces at Kastanienallee 74 and regularly open them for workshops, seminars, and events on sustainability communication. We also celebrated our 20th anniversary party here – with friends, partners, companions, and our now 16-person team.
